Introducing the new video jukebox, our innovative tool for cymbal selection. The video jukebox will allow you to quickly and easily view and compare unique audio and video of the cymbals that we carry to find your sound. This section is meant as a primer to helpy you fully realize the potential of the player.
Jukebox basics
The video jukebox mimics the controls and features of a video iPod or other mp3 player. Or . . . your DVD player for those who still don't have an mp3 player - any out there??? See the numbered key below for details.
1., 2. Click here to expand the playlist and see availible tracks. Audio files are formatted as mp3's, video as Adobe Flash files. If you do not have Adobe Flash you will be prompted to update your browser for free.
3. Click to move to the previous track.
4. Standard play and stop buttons.
5. Click to play the next track.
6. Move back through the files by clicking here.
7. Click here to open the selected file in a new window. This feature is key, see description below.
Most of the controls are fairly straightforward but I want to highlight one key feature - #7 open in a new window. By clicking here you can open multiple files in individual windows. This will allow you to directly compare individual cymbals, play seperate cymbals at the same time and select sets, and choose your favorites. My suggestion is to go through the files and create a shortlist, open those cymbals in seperate files, and choose the winner. Note: when you open a video file using this option it loads the complete file before it will play . . . so it may be a little slower to load.
Finding a cymbal
When you click either video or audio you will drill down to a screen that yields the current sizes that we carry. In the example above you would click on the circle to hear or see our current selection of 24" cymbals. We organize all the cymbals by size irregardless of brand.
1. The size of the cymbal in inches.
2. Series of the cymbal - we organize cymbals by size not brand.
3. The weight of the cymbal in grams.
4. Unique Front Range Bronze stock number.
When you click a cymbal size you will drill down to a screen that yields a list of current cymbals in our inventory. Note: we try and update the player as often as we can but always check our online store before you become to invested in cymbal - it may already have been sold. In the example above you could click on either cymbal (3210_1106 or 3225g_1100) to play the file associated with that cymbal.
Purchasing a cymbal
To purchase a cymbal you have to go to our online store, and find your cymbal based on it's weight and stock number. If it is not listed and you cannot place it in the shopping cart it has been sold - sorry. Remember, these cymbals go fast so don't hestitate if you find one you like.
REMEMBER, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN!!!!
Please email me if you have any questions or suggestions.
